Smooth as silk with good weight |
I have no complaints about my new custom visor stylus. Ever since my original stylus scratched my visor's screen to ribbons, I have been very cautious about using any stylus. Handspring summarily sent me a new visor with no questions asked, and I immediately ordered this stylus. It has great weight, and glides across the screen like it is made of silk or Teflon or something. Some have complained about the tip sticking out from the top, I think it adds an interesting look to my visor. The orange tip (although a little bigger than expected) is very cool and contrasts against the screen beautifully for ease of graffiti. All in all, a wonderful choice, and my screen doesn't have a scratch on it.

Bloody Eye |
My two year old daughter was playing with my stylus. She unscrewed the top and stabbed herself in the eye. I had to rush her to the emergency room where they performed ab optolotorectomy. My daughter was in agony for weeks, and if that was not enough, an intern slipped while holding the defibulator and shocked me!!!! So you can see why i dislike the PDA panache stylus.

Good product in need of fine tuning. |
This is a vast improvement over the original, but there are two problems that need to be addressed on the chrome model.
First; Make the top a square or octogan instead of the standard round top so it won't roll off the table.
Second; The top which unscrews to reveal the reset pin is a great idea, IF THE TOP WOULD STAY SCREWED SHUT. The thing is driving me CRAZY, every time I remove it from the holder, the top spins. When I write, the top spins..I could use loctite to correct this, but that would disable the reset pin*sigh*.
My final recomendation would be to offer a texured model so that it is easier to maintain a grip.
Don't let these nitpicks discourage you from buying one, it is a fine improvement as offered, just think it could be improved.

Good tip & weight but crummy fit |
The way that the Handspring Deluxe stylii are designed with the wing at the top is so much better. There's no question that the PDA Panache stylus is better than the stock stylus but, like the previous reviewer, mine's also getting loose in the slot.

Not a good fit |
After a while, it becomes very loose in the slot and does not grip. The nail head is too large and puts too much pressure on the slot. Go with Handspring's Deluxe Visor instead.

Great feel, needs customized ridge like stock stylus |
I wouldn’t go back to the stock stylus but I wish the Panache stylus had the ridge instead of poking out the top. That would make it easier to get it out of the silo.

Nice heft and smooth |
I have no problem with the top extending a bit. Since I am left-handed, I find it easier to remove it from the Visor.

It's the weight, and the orange tip. |
For me, it's the weighted feel and the *soft* easy to see orange tip. When dragging on the screen, I could almost feel the stock stylus doing damage. Not the case with this one. Smooth as a baby's butt. The weight feels good and I believe has improved my Graffiti. Two cons; the stock stylus is easier to remove, and the reset pin could be a little longer. But I wouldn't trade my PDA Panache for the stock stylus in a million years.

Very good product |
Fine product, absolutely better than the stock Visor stylus, also better than the 5-pack color stylus I ordered.
Customer service is not as good, I ordered via telephone the black stylus with express shipping. When it didn't arrive in one week, I called; only then was I informed that both the black and the silver were out of stock. (Good thing I had recieved my 5-pack of color styli from Handspring).
I did receive the PDA Panache stylus about 10 days after the second call.
One important note here,
I have the Handspring custom black case and this stylus fits perfectly.
To all those that indicate the stylus fits to tight, well, I dropped my Visor onto blacktop about 3 feet), the case is scratched, the Visor is fine, the PDA Panache popped out, and rolled under the truck!
Buy a good case!
