Have any of you actually LISTENED to what the CEOs of Handspring have said??
Bottom line, guys, you're not going to be satisfied with what ANY company comes out with. I know you all want 500GB of memory and a 1GHz processor in your handhelds, but keep in mind it's all going to be for a price. Handheld computers aren't supposed to be something that's going to function like a complete computer -- at least not yet. The purpose of a handheld computer is to keep the things you use most often at your fingertips. Addresses, Calendars, and possibly documents of various flavors. The Visor Edge is a stepping stone in the right direction for all Handheld computers, especially in the Visor line. What many don't recognize is that the Handspring Visor Edge is THE fastest palm OS device out there. It's at 33MHz, which, according to their webcast product launch is even faster than the prism and the platinum. Color? Why do you need it, unless you're going to be doing slide shows? I don't understand. Color is a luxury. A toy if you will. It has all the functionality of a color model, but for less $. Quit complaining. You'll never be happy with what's released.

do i look like a clown?
Juggling is for people with big red noses ond oversized shoes. and now HS throws another peice to the act?!?! come on! the blank module, the pen and the tuperware lid of the older models is enough to cause a car accident! so why make it any more difficult. vdx=4 peices ve=6 peices

just don't get it...
the edge surely looks great (and it would indeed match my new PowerBook G4 perfectly), but I just don't get, why it has to be heavier and bigger than my current Palm V, which has been available for 2 years now. So my $$$ will be spent on a shiny new m505!!!

Definitely Color & 16MB
I too feel that I will only pay for a color & 16MB memory or more Visor EDGE. I currently owned a Platinum thinking of changing to m505.

two word FLASH ROM
I find it just plain dumb that handspring things the OS the device comes with is adequate. There is always room for improvement and blowing my module slot so I can upgrade the OS is the dummest fix anyone could ever suggest.

a Handspring machine shouldn't use Springboard
If I don't need springboard, why dont I buy m500? While palm is adding SD into their new PDA, SONY is using MS in their PDA, why Handspring removed springboard from their machine?

Thumbs Up

Great Resolution
Unless M505 has solid resolution, then I would go monochrome. The Prism resolution is weak and hard to look at. Edge is great!

Palm is the winner just a couple of weeks later
m505 wins handsdown
