Visor
by Handspring
The cheapest of the Visor Family, the Visor has 2 mb of memory and runs on alkaline batteries. Each set of batteries should last 2 months. The Visor Solo does not include a cradle. The Visor Solo has a 4 bit monochrome 160x160 pixel screen. The Visor Solo, like other Visors is infinantly expandable with the built in Springboard expansion slot.

I would definately reccomend the Visor 1000E for new PDA users. It does keep you very organized, but if you're a software freak, and like to download alot of games, then you'll run out of memory a bit quick. But...that's ok, because all you have to do is buy expansion springboard modules with some extra memory.
You may also have heard about the Visor Solo. It's just like the Visor 1000E, but comes without a cradle, making it the cheapest of all Visors.
A bad thing about the Visor 1000E is that it doesn't have flash memory, so you can't upgrade Operating Systems. It's really not that bad though, there is only a few games, and applications you cannot run.
But I suppose that you'll just have to explore your options. So my bottom line is, that I would definately reccomend this for middle, and high school students. But, as I said earlier, if they want to play a bunch of games, they either need to pick a different model, or get some extra memory.
