Good protection but lousy belt clip button |
The case protects the Visor well. I've dropped mine at least 4-5 times without any damage at all. It is difficult to remove to hotsync but that is a small price to pay for the protection and convenience.
My only two complaints are the belt clip button on the back of the case fails pretty easily. They should have considered a metal button to prevent it's wear at the neck (and they want $12+shipping to repair after 5 months of use. My second complaint is that I would have hoped they would stand behind their product and repaired the button gratis!

good workmanship but not as nice as appeared in pictures |
The stitching is quite nice but the material is not as nice as it appeared in the pictures.
But this case does NOT offer more protection than the E&B slip case. This case doesn't have velcro and that's probably the only advantage it has over the slip case.
The belt clip is definitely VERY flimsy. Furthermore, the plastic notch is attached by a plastic sewed onto the cloth, so it is not secure at all. Definitely don't get this if you want to carry it by the belt clip.

This case saved my Visor |
I have had my Rhodiana Visor case for about a year. Today I lost my grip and my Visor tumbled about 4 1/2 feet to the floor, landing on one corner. I picked it up and turned it on. To my horror nothing happened. Upon closer inspection the casing was broken and the power button was jammed down. I carefully pried the button back into its usual position. I pressed the button and to my delight it booted up. Other than the plastic casing that broke off to the left of the power button, my Visor works fine. I have dropped my Visor many times in the past with no damage and this is the worse fall it has taken. There is a small amount of padding in the case and I am sure that is the reason I am not having to replace my Visor. This isn’t the only time I have been thankful I chose this case for my Visor.

Terrible Customer Service |
I can't speak for the quality of the case itself, because I cancelled my order after speaking to their reps. After placing my order, I asked what I thought was a simple request: to get a copy of their return policy. I was referred to their website, but there was no policy to be found. Worse, I tried to email them, and the email address on their web page bounced. I called them again and was told they have no written policy (one person verbally told me 30 days, another told me 2 weeks). Furthermore, they refused to put what they said was their policy in writing (I asked if they could email or fax it). When asked why not, their manager refused to tell me why they couldn't do that!
For all I know, they may be a perfectly honest company, but for them to be unable to offer any valid assurances about their return policy on a product like this indicates little or no concern about customer satisfaction, and makes me wary of doing business with them. Since I've had problems with cases in the past that salespeople claimed would work with my Visor, and I am unable to see exactly what the product looks like in person before spending my money on it, I'd like to be assured that I can return it if I don't like it. Rhodiana is simply unwilling to commit to any sort return policy... even at the expense of losing a customer.
So, when the manager at Rhodiana said that I didn't have to purchase a case from them I agreed... and told him to cancel my order. He immediately hung up on me... without ever getting my name to know whos order to cancel!
Therefore, I cannot recommend this company or its products to anyone. They seem to show no concern for their customers, and I will be purchasing a Slipper case.

Truly makes the Visor "Wearable" |
I have had mine for a few months now and I cannot recommend it enough. I have found it very easy to use. Some of the knocks (like getting the stylus out) are addressed in the one I purchased with an external sleeve for the stylus. Unlike a coworker, I never leave my Visor in any meeting rooms anymore. About the only place I have to take it off the clip is when I sit down in my car. My Dream, Killer Visor App, would be to have a visor in Rhodiana case with a CDMA cell phone module (GSM is worthless when you can't get service). Then I could get rid of my StarTac and only carry one device around (well maybe two, there's still my stowaway.)

Great place to start |
I've had my HS Visor for about two months, and within a week, I knew I needed something more manageable than the plastic cover and leather slip case (was fumbling with the cover and case in the supermarket and was quite thankful that I opted to catch the visor instead of the other two pieces). Rhodiana has a great thing going with this case, and if they could deal with the slight gaps around the face and how the flap sometimes starts the device, they would have a killer case. I don't have the belt clip (and I'm seriously reconsidering it), but my 3X shirt pockets hold the case comfortably (another reason not to lose weight?); however, I can see how skinny folks might have a problem compared to us fuller figured folk. It's sleek, rugged, and looks good in the office and away.

The best thing since sliced bread. |
The latest case is great. Everything the reviews ( good and bad) said it would be. I am very pleased with this product.

Am I missing something here? |
It has a lot of my requirements:
It's snug, small, nothing is glued to my Visor, and usable in the case.
But the drawbacks make this case a "send it back" for me:
I hotsync at least twice a day and it's difficult to remove and insert.
I cringe everytime a have to snap it shut and the snaps have scratched the back of my visor.
But the worst is that the screen and controls are exposed all around the flip flap!
It doesn't protect against minor liquid spills or dust like the original cover.
So I have to ask... why does this case have a 92% approval rating here?
What am I missing?

A great value and a great case! |
The Rhodiana case was just what I was looking for, but could not find anywhere but at Rhodiana. I got the version without the belt-clip and i love it! It protects the Visor well enough so that I'm not paranoid about it getting bumped around. The case fits the Visor like a glove. The straps on the back allow a you to slip your hand through for more secure holding (a great feature if you use your Visor for grocery shopping lists). Drawbacks? There are a few minor ones. First, the case can only accomodate Springboard Modules that are standard size (like the flash module or backup module). Second, there's not much room for keeping things inside the one pocket it has - you can squeeze a couple of credit cards and license in there and that's about it). Otherwise, a GREAT product. I got the impression that Rhodiana was a relatively small outfit (based in San Diego), but their service was first-rate.
