does reduce clarity but improves grafitti recognition
bought the twice as big newton writerights when they were closing them out so i basically have twice as many for $20. tried other materials and writerights actually reduce the pixelated effect aside from improving grafitti as scotch magic tape is not as good.

Fine for writing, bad for viewing
I tried them for a while on my Palm III but I didn't like how it made things blurry. It reduced glare, but the solution was worse than the problem. When I got my Visor I tried cutting one WriteRight down so that it fit the writing area but didn't touch the display area. I'm very happy with it now since it protects the writing area from scratches (the one part of my Palm IIIs screen which had minor scratches) and doesn't harm the display

It works as intended
I think putting it on requires some dexterity, but once there, it works as intended: that is to protect the screen. To enhance its lifespan, just wipe the dust off once a while.

In a Perfect world.....
In a perfect world the Visor Deluxe screen would be an anti-glare/scratch resistant unbreakable material; right? I have read many reviews pro and con about Right Wrights and decided I needed to see for myself and give them a try. After I installed the first one, I too was slightly put off by the texture of the material but got used to it quickly. As for making the screen blurry and hard to read I didn't notice it that much. (If it is applied correctly) I've tried all of the alternatives from tape to thin sheets of mylar to overheads and RainX and find this product, although a little on the expensive side, is worth it. At least if the scratches become to bothersome I can always remove the scrathes.

Poor choice in material!
WriteRights protect the screen well, but that is all that they do well. The plastic that is used is not even close to being "clear" which causes the screen to become unclear as well. Visibility is VERY affected! Also, of the 2 packages I have purchased at their exhorbitant price, at least 30% of them had noticeable defects -- mostly splotches or checkered patterns running (way too noticeably) the entire length of the sheet. I wish there were another equally available alternative...

Great Screen Protector!
Each sheet last about 3 months for me. That's because I don't press hard on them and the screen protector makes writing easier. Great product! A little pricey, but can buy them off Ebay

good protection against scratches
I can't complain about the protection, but these protectors do tend to catch a lot of dust!!! Still, I wouldn't use my visor without them
