Nice Weight, No Scratches |
These are definately better than the stock pens. It appears they are manufacturing the tips differently now, because none I have contain the scratching nubs others complain about.

There are better ones, go to PDA Panache |
Better ones exist than this 5-pack. I agree that Handspring should have included one of these in every Visor, over that junk 'toothpick' that came with Visor. I bought these styli and I also bought the PDA Panache Visor stylus.
I shall keep the 5-pack in case I ever loose the PDA stylus.

Great product! |
I love these styli! It matches my Ice visor, and the tips come off revealing the screwdriver and the reset pin! I can write so much better now.

For the per unit price these should be standard, not an accessory. |
Face it, the standard Visor stylus is junk. Given that the list price of a single stylus from the 5-pack is $3.00USD, Handspring should include these as standard equipment, not an accessory.
That said, these styli are a marked improvement over the standard ones. Using different colored ones allows me and my wife to distinguish our Visors easily.
Buy 'em, appreciate the improvement over the lousy plastic one and grumble about why Handspring didn't include it with your Visor in the first place.

Nothing Wrong with Mine |
The Handspring 5 pack I received had no flaws in its workmanship meaning it wont scratch my screen. The styli have a good weight to them and are far better than the stock piece of plastic.

Recommended, with caveats |
Apparently Handspring has taken note of the nub issue. I recieved my 5pack last week and have had no problems (a coworker recieved his yesterday, and no signs of screen scratching nubs on his either). Overall, a necessary replacement to the stock stylus -- as long as the defects are worked out for good

Put a big scratch on my Visor |
Unfortunately I did not read this review before I tried out this stylus. I put a big scratch on the first word of the first time I used this. Needless to say, I was very unhappy. As mentioned in the cons section, 1 mm from the tip is a ridge, and if you write on a slant, the ridge will be making contact with the screen with extremely bad results. What were they thinking? This is supposed to be an upgrade?

couldn't you just sand them down |
couldn't you just sand them down yourself if they have the little plastic tab? wouldn't that fix everything and then they'd become the best styli for the visor?
my 2 cents worth

same problem as original stylus |
it looks like they used the same equipment to create the tip as they used on the standard one...
It still scratches if you don't smoothen the tip yourself.
That's a real pitty because I like the reset pin and small screwdriver...
