What I like
most about the Flip Top is how well everything fits together. Even
the credit card slots work well. Sliding cards in and out is much
easier than with some other cases and doesn't make the Flip Top swell too
much. In the picture shown, I have all three credit card slots filled,
yet the Flip Top hasn't increased in size that much. I've been keeping
the Smart Card that I use to logon at work in the case, which is great
because I don't have to worry about losing the card or leaving it at home.
Visor -- don't leave home without it!
The main concern with the Flip Top is that like all leather items, it
has the potential to get scuffed, and more so since it is at your side.
I can see a few scratches on my Flip Top, oddly enough, on the back of
the case. They don't stand out, and the only reason I can see them
is because my case is entirely brown leather -- a darker leather
would probably hide scuff marks more easily. Regardless, in a business
environment, scuffing shouldn't be an issue anyway. The only thing
missing from the Flip Top is a pin hole for the Visor's microphone.
Looking at the case, I think that you should be able to manually insert
a hole should it become necessary. The price is higher than other
beltclip cases, but the quality of the leather and the features of the
Flip Top more than make up for this.
Conclusion
The Vaja Flip Top case is the beltclip case to get for those in a corporate
environment. It is a very attractive case that isn't "all looks --
no brains," and is an excellent case for anyone to have.
