Handspring Developer Changes, and Edge deal

In what is certainly a disappointment for many developers, Handspring will begin charging a yet-to-be announced per incident fee, for its email developer technical support. This was previously available at no cost and certainly may of helped start up the Springboard market. Link: Handspring Developer support and programs

Handspring technical documentation, including SDK's, product guides, application notes, presentations, FAQs, tools, sample code, ROM requests, mechanical and electrical information will remain free.

Premier Developers will continue to receive priority email technical support. Additional information will be available soon, most likely on March 22nd when the rest of the info is announced. The Premier program offers email tech support, discounts on Handspring products and more for only $6,000 per annum.
