InnoGear Comdex Interview

Fri Nov 17, 2000 - 7:50 PM EST - By James Hromadka

Developer Interest

Hromadka: How much interest has there been from software developers to get their applications to be able to be read from MMCs and other products?

Eisenbach: We've talked with quite a few developers. A lot of applications like mapping and picture editing/displaying take the most amount of memory and therefore they're very interested. That's the developers we're working directly with. A lot of people have interest in the SDK, which will allow programmers to use our modules. That's something we're going to release also by the end of this year to open our products to a wider platform base.

Hromadka: We haven't heard too much about the Innopak/2M. How is that progressing? Is that something that you're going to be releasing, or is the modem market too crowded now for that?

Eisenbach: Actually, I can't say too much about this product, but what I do know is that I think we've pushed it back a little in favor of the SixPak. We do see - and a lot of our your [readers] have pointed it out to us too - that the SixPak is superior to this module. We right now have very limited development resources, and we're really trying to focus on the products that people really want. So we might push the release of the InnoPak/2M back a little in favor of the SixPak.
